The Student Math Tune-Up includes one hour of private coaching with a professionally trained academic coach, six one-hour group sessions with a certified Ontario math teacher and tutor, and a final one-hour private coaching session.
This program is offered to students in Grades 6 through 12 and is tailored to meet each student’s individual needs.
Students who would like to address academic challenges in math will benefit from this unique combined coaching and tutoring program developed by Evoke Learning. Beginning with a one-hour private coaching session with a trained academic coach, the program offers students an opportunity to identify their math challenges and create strategies to overcome those weaknesses. Working with the tutor and coach, students will identify and better understand their deficit areas. The student will work directly with their tutor to work through the specific units in math they find difficult until they have a stronger understanding of those concepts. Together, the student and tutor will co-create a math strategies handbook tailored to the student’s needs. The tune-up provides both an opportunity for practice and can also be used as an excellent exam preparation tool.
All one-hour sessions for York Region are held on Sundays. Openings are available from 9am to 1pm.
Cost:
$470 for 60 minute group (up to 3 students) tutoring (includes private coaching sessions)
$650 for 75 minute in-home private tutoring (includes private coaching sessions)
